Innovasion Labs PINC develops a lithium-ion energy storage technology that reduces ion flow distance to dramatically shorten charging times. Its approach changes battery cell geometry by interleaving anode and cathode to multiply surface area and cut ion travel, enabling claimed size reductions up to 90% and targeting 80% charge in 2 seconds with an initial prototype. The company completed laboratory proof of concept and plans to develop a pre-prototype from that work. Founded in 2019 in San Diego by Dr. İnanç Ortaç, PINC is moving from early-stage research into development. With the new funds it intends to strengthen its management team and begin commercialization efforts. Financially, the company has now raised $5 million in total following the latest investment.
