Overview
Insert offers a visual editor that enables marketers and product designers to add non-core features — such as demo videos, surveys, and promotional graphics — directly into mobile apps without coding or app store updates. The platform is intended for non-core functionality, leaving core app elements like shopping carts to developers. Insert launched in February and is already being used by Barclays to enhance its mobile banking app. The company was founded by the team behind Worklight, which was acquired by IBM for $70 million, and is led by CEO Shahar Kaminitz. Insert is headquartered in Tel Aviv and plans to expand its U.S. presence, including opening an office in New York City. Financially, the startup completed a $10 million Series A led by Battery Ventures. Insert is a Tel Aviv-based, stealth-mode developer of a SaaS platform designed to facilitate mobile app deployment. The company was established and is led by serial entrepreneur Shahar Kaminitz. Insert aims to free app owners to leverage their mobile assets via its SaaS-based platform. The company raised $5m in a seed funding round. Backers included Shlomo Kramer and Trusteer co-founders Mickey Boodaei and Rakesh Loonkar. Insert plans to use the funds to hire developers and product managers to complete the platform’s beta version and launch a pilot with first customers.
