Instant Commerce plans to use the new funding to accelerate product innovation, double headcount from 30 to 60, increase partnerships and integrations, enter new European markets, and prepare for US expansion. The founders previously built one of Europe’s top e-commerce agencies, giving the team direct experience with the benefits and challenges of headless commerce. Instant Commerce offers a no-code headless frontend platform that lets brands quickly assemble highly functional headless webshops without expensive development teams. The Amsterdam-based startup, founded in January of this year, integrates with platforms such as Shopify, Storyblok and Algolia. It already counts more than 30 customers including Bols, ID&T, Ekster and Yaya. The €2 million pre-seed will be used to double the team to some 40+ members, further develop the company’s technical offering, and build brand awareness. CEO Coen Van Hees positions the product as a cost-effective solution to rising storefront complexity and infrastructure costs. The team previously built a successful e-commerce agency, which the investors say informed the product roadmap.
