Insurwave is a London-based commercial insurance SaaS company. It was founded in June 2018 through a joint venture with EY and Guardtime and has a team of approximately 26 people. Its core product, called “Digital Pathway,” is a smart pipe that enables real-time, enriched data flows on a common SaaS platform. For marine insurance, the platform can digitize, enrich and share vessel data, consume risk events, and auto-service post-bind changes such as war risk declarations. The company completed its first seed round in which it raised £5 million (reported as $6.4 million). This financing represents the company’s first seed raise.
