Overview

Integris Software builds software that helps companies map and manage personal data to meet privacy compliance mandates such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. The company uses machine learning to locate sensitive data, apply regulatory obligations, and automate actions like encryption and deletion. Integris aims to help customers prepare for the CCPA deadline and respond quickly to Data Subject Requests. The startup is about 30 people and opened a second office in Vancouver, B.C. earlier this year. Leadership includes CEO and co‑founder Kristina Bergman and co‑founder/CTO Raghu Gollamudi; other co‑founders have moved to advisory roles or departed. Financially, a new SEC filing shows the company raised another $3 million and the company has raised $16 million to date. Integris positions itself against competitors such as Preclusion, BigID, and OneTrust. Integris uses machine learning and other technology to locate and classify an organization’s sensitive data, apply regulatory obligations, and automate actions such as encryption or deletion. The product is positioned to help firms prove adherence to laws and contracts, reduce regulatory risk, and preserve consumer trust. Use cases include managing data from M&A transactions and data-sharing agreements, and the company highlights detection of nuanced sensitive fields (for example, dietary markers that may indicate religion under EU rules). Integris was co-founded by Kristina Bergman, Uma Raghavan and Raghu Gollamudi; Bergman is CEO. The company employs 12 people and plans to hire about 30 more as a result of the new investment. Total funding to date is $13 million. Integris has developed a privacy intelligence solution that combines machine learning, natural language processing, and data mining to automate how companies manage customer data. The software runs both on-premise and in the cloud and focuses on mapping data, tagging and classification, and applying policies to assess compliance. Integris says its platform provides insight into where data sits and how it’s being used, addressing gaps in more manual or workflow-only solutions. Customers include eBay, Perkins Coie, and Orange France Télécom. The Seattle-based company employs eight people and has raised $4.5 million in total funding to date, including the recent $1.5 million. Management plans to use the new investment to grow and expects to raise more funding later this year amid GDPR-driven demand. Integris.io built a "data risk intelligence solution" that runs on-premise and in the cloud to help companies automate management of customer data. The platform leverages machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, and related techniques to surface how data is used and to assess associated risks. The company positions its product to help customers prove they are operating with integrity amid evolving legal, privacy, financial, and reputational risks. Integris came out of stealth with a $3 million funding round and currently employs a four-person team. It is partnering with four Fortune 500 companies in telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce to design and build the product and says its customers are Fortune 1000 companies. As a result of the funding, Madrona’s Julie Sandler and Amplify’s Mike Dauber are joining Integris’ board.
