Overview
Intelligence Node collects and analyzes billions of data points from eCommerce sites, marketplaces, brick-and-mortar stores, direct marketing and consumer social media to build a large database of product pricing and promotion information. Its core product set includes pricing intelligence and a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) monitoring solution that helps retailers identify unauthorized sellers and prevent counterfeit sales. The company serves more than 150 retailers and brands worldwide, partnering with customers such as Li&Fung, Tesco, Westwing, Reliance, Mobly, Landmark and Jockey. Founded in 2012 and based in New York City, Intelligence Node has raised $10.6M to date. The latest $5.5M Series B will be used to accelerate growth, expand its presence on the U.S. West Coast and target San Francisco as a potential sales and operations hub. Management plans to use proceeds to hire additional staff to support the expansion. Launched in 2012 as a consulting service, Intelligence Node provides technology products and services to global retail players. Its flagship products, InCompetitor and InOptimizer, give customers competitive pricing and visibility insights and recommend optimal pricing. The company's back-end analytics supports refined data offerings across large catalogs. Intelligence Node reports a customer base of 35 clients and coverage of over 1 billion unique products from more than 130,000 brands. It is backed by investors including New Enterprise Associates, Orios Venture Partners and several angel backers. Management says the company aims to reach blue-chip multinational retailers as it scales. IntelligenceNODE builds a big-data analytics platform that recommends prices, identifies underperforming items for clearance, and groups products that can be marketed together to boost margins. The tools are aimed especially at fashion brands and e-commerce sites, improving product recommendations and store promotions to prompt impulse purchases. The company says its platform can reduce merchandise life cycles from six months to ten days and offers real-time pricing and merchandising suggestions. IntelligenceNODE claims coverage of over 700 million unique products from 100,000 brands across 800 categories and more than 10,000 product-specific attributes. Current clients noted in the article include Uniliver, Tata, Jockey, and PrettySecrets. The startup plans to expand in the U.S. and hire additional engineers and data scientists to further build its platform. Between its seed round and this Series A the company reports revenue growth of nearly 450% and says it aims to increase revenue fivefold over the next year.
