Intellitect Water develops sensor probes for real-time monitoring of water quality, including its flagship device, the Intellisonde, which measures chlorine without chemicals or membranes. The company is based in Christchurch, UK, and has trialled its technology successfully in the UK and overseas. It has received a £1m investment commitment from Catapult Venture Managers as part of a £2m fundraising round that also includes existing investors Credit Suisse and Pemberstone Group. Intellitect plans to use the funds to increase production capability and expand sales coverage globally. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Bridge of Catapult joined the company as a non-executive director.
