Intercast Network

Overview

IntercastNetwork is a rich-media interactive platform that combines live-streaming video with real-time polling, live chat, Q&A and payment processing to let broadcasters engage audiences and capture feedback in real time. The platform lets publishers push live feeds — including external sources — directly to their own homepages, Facebook tabs, microsites, mobile, banners or expandables while keeping brand control and integrated engagement tools. Unlike services such as LiveStream or Justin.tv, IntercastNetwork emphasizes publisher-controlled deployment and integrated audience analytics so broadcasters can adjust messaging on the fly. The product grew out of Brand Knew, a digital agency with offices in Los Angeles and New York; co-founders Zachary Suchin and Jason Schutzbank lead the venture and sometimes invest development services for equity. Use cases highlighted in the article include live commerce (“QVC for the Internet”), political speeches with on-the-fly fundraising via the platform’s payments, and broad publisher and brand deployments. The company has attracted interest from major brands and politicians, and TechCrunch confirms NBC Universal will use the service; IntercastNetwork has received $1.25 million from undisclosed angels.
