Overview
Intergalactic Therapeutics develops a non-viral gene therapy platform built around two proprietary technologies: C3DNA, a covalently closed circular DNA that does not integrate into the genome, and COMET®, a pulsed electric field focal gene therapy delivery system. C3DNA permits large gene cargoes, avoids adverse immune reactions, and is produced via a proprietary cell-free manufacturing process designed to increase safety and scalability. The company is pursuing therapeutic programs in ophthalmology, oncology, and respiratory disease, with potential applicability in cardiology, hepatology, CNS, and musculoskeletal disorders. Intergalactic has entered a five-year strategic partnership with Resilience to provide cGMP capacity and resources to manufacture C3DNA products for its first-in-human clinical trials and to support process and analytical development. The company is led by founder and CEO Michael Ehlers, M.D., Ph.D., with a senior leadership team that includes José Lora, Ph.D., Eileen Higham, Ph.D., Vincent Hennemand, and Robert Farra. Financially, the company announced a $75 million Series A financing to advance its platform toward clinical studies.
