Internal offers an out-of-the-box SaaS internal console that lets employees access only the app data they need through search, filtering, auto-generated tasks, team queues, granular field-level permissioning, audit logs, and redacted fields for sensitive information. The product reads customers' data structures without storing data — the company says data remains on customer servers — and is positioned for quick setup to replace ad-hoc data model viewers. Founders Arisa Amano and Bob Remeika, who previously built internal consoles at Zenefits, Yammer and Harbor, launched Internal after spotting the opportunity. The company is eight people and has made the product available with a free trial while keeping pricing undisclosed. Its initial target users are non-technical teams such as operations and customer support. The founders cite winning enterprise trust and demonstrating compliance as the biggest challenges ahead.
