Shoreline Biome is a biotech startup founded in June 2015 by Tom Jarvie (CEO) and Mark Driscoll (CSO) and is based at the UConn Technology Incubation Program on the UConn Health campus in Farmington. The company develops novel kits, protocols, and software to identify and quantify bacteria in the human microbiome, emphasizing comprehensive lysis of hard-to-crack microbes, a simple workflow, and strain-level resolution.
