Invenia is a Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada-based creator of a cloud-based machine learning platform that optimizes power grids to improve generation, transmission and delivery efficiency and reduce CO2 and particulate emissions. Led by CEO and co-founder Matthew Hudson, the company provides a machine learning system that uses data and algorithms to add efficiency across electricity systems. The company raised USD$5M in a Series A and intends to use the funds to continue scaling its operations. Invenia has built a team of researchers from top universities such as Cambridge and recently opened a second office in Cambridge.
