Inventex combines AI-driven agents with oversight from licensed patent attorneys to intake technical materials (code, design documents, specs), identify patentable inventions, search prior art, and draft and file patent applications in the U.S. and abroad. The company says its approach can get customers patent-pending status “10x faster” — in days versus the months traditional firms might take — and that it fine-tunes models to each technical area. It charges customers a monthly fee that covers invention discovery, drafting, filing, and patent prosecution. Inventex reports about $250,000 of annual recurring revenue in the pipeline, including work for two publicly traded companies (Dirac has consented to be named) and numerous startups, and says it has more inbound demand than it can handle. The business has grown roughly 2x per month since December, primarily through word-of-mouth referrals and partnerships with VCs, and currently employs three full-time engineers plus several contract patent attorneys. Looking ahead, the company is considering offering its drafting toolkit as a white-labeled product for law firms to license.
