Overview
Invert Robotics develops robotic inspection solutions and operates an inspection services business alongside a robot product sales division. The company announced a second close of an investment round that adds €2.5m and brings total funding to €25m. The new capital will support growth of a Dublin-based research and development centre and expansion of its robot product sales division. The product sales division is intended to make Invert's technology available to traditional inspection services companies and large global clients with internal maintenance and inspection teams. The announcement was shared on LinkedIn with a link to coverage in The Irish Times. No operating metrics were disclosed in the announcement. Invert Robotics develops robotic inspection technologies and an artificial intelligence platform to inspect high-value industrial assets in hazardous, hard-to-reach, or toxic environments. The company serves customers across food production, aerospace, pharmaceutical, chemical and energy sectors. It plans to use new capital to accelerate growth by developing further innovations and expanding into new sectors and industries. The funding specifically supports continued R&D and deeper collaboration with strategic partners in energy and chemicals. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Invert Robotics positions its technology as a safer, more precise and efficient alternative to existing inspection methods. The company intends to trial its latest technologies across large energy and chemical operations as part of planned commercial expansion. Invert Robotics builds commercial inspection robots that climb walls using suction cups on treads and a special chemical to reduce friction and maintain a sliding vacuum seal. Managing director Neil Fletcher explained the design uses a plunger-like seal balanced with controlled air leakage to allow movement while keeping adhesion. The machines target hazardous inspection work in food, chemical and aviation industries where automation can improve safety and reduce shutdown time. Invert is already working with customers including Dow Chemical and BASF to assess processing assets. Investors like Finistere Ventures highlighted applications across the global food supply chain, while Yamaha's Silicon Valley arm invested as part of a strategic robotics push. The company recently raised $8.8M in new financing to support commercialization and global market expansion.
