Invest India Micro Pension Services (IIMPS) delivers pension and insurance products to low-income workers through institutional partnerships with micro-finance institutions, co-operatives, self-help groups, worker unions, multi-lateral and bi-lateral agencies, government departments and finance firms. The company plans to scale its model to build a mass-market for non-credit financial and risk-management solutions for vulnerable households. Proceeds from the recent financing will be used to enhance impact by educating and enabling 5 million low-income households over the next three years to start saving for old age. Institutional shareholders include UTI AMC and SEWA, and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has been a long-standing supporter. The firm emphasizes strengthening financial literacy and client protection mechanisms as it scales. Unitus Capital advised the deal financially and HSA served as IIMPS's legal advisor.
