Invictus Oncology is developing chemotherapy models it says will be more effective and less toxic than existing treatments. The company is advancing platinum-based chemotherapies for lung, testicular, colorectal and childhood cancers. It is also accelerating pre-clinical development of a proprietary antibody-drug conjugate platform. Invictus said it will deploy the new financing to advance these development programs. Co-founder Shiladitya Sengupta, an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, said the team is designing next-generation drugs that reduce adverse side effects and commercialize cutting-edge technologies from India. Aarin Capital is led by Ranjan Pai and T.V. Mohandas Pai and focuses on innovative healthcare, life sciences and technology-based products or services. Navam Capital's executive director Rajeev Mantri praised Invictus' potential to transform cancer treatment and change perceptions about India's capacity for product innovation.
