Invisalert Solutions developed a tablet-based “digital clipboard” that replaces paper observation logs and pairs with a patient wristband to authorize and timestamp 15-minute observation checks. The system uses HIPAA-compliant software and audio/visual cues and enforces proximity (adjustable 1–20 feet) so checks can only be recorded when staff and patient are in close, line-of-sight proximity. The device is intended to reduce gaps in monitoring that contribute to suicides, suicide attempts, falls and other safety events, and to improve handoffs during shift changes. The company plans to pursue installations beyond behavioral health, including medical hospitals, long-term care and prisons. Peter Nagy, founder and CEO, said funds raised are being used to complete system development and to perform several hospital installs. The company is based in the Philadelphia area.
