IonKraft is a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University that develops plasma-based barrier coatings intended to replace non-recyclable barrier solutions in the packaging industry. The company has built an industrial machine and received funding from the European EIC Accelerator in 2023 to support development. The first industrial coating system is on track for customer deployment by year-end. The recent capital will be used to prepare market entry, scale production and expand the team.
