IONODES develops IP video compression, transmission and decoding technologies as well as video content management appliances and software platforms for business, government and military clients. The company is pursuing R&D to create new products adapted to the changing video surveillance market, including work on innovative portable cameras designed specifically for police and military use. Recent funding is earmarked to step up business development in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and to finance R&D efforts. The investment package will also allow IONODES to open its first branch in Europe. Management says Anges Québec’s support provides expertise and advice in addition to capital and will help accelerate strategic partnerships in promising surveillance segments.
