Overview
IsomAb is a biopharmaceutical company spun out from the University of Nottingham in 2022 that develops isoform-specific antibodies to treat peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and related diabetic vascular disease. Its lead program, ISM-001, is a high-affinity humanized antibody designed to restore blood flow in diabetic vascular disease by targeting VEGF-A165b. The company is advancing disease-modifying antibody therapeutics aimed at patients with peripheral ischemia, including those with metabolic syndrome and Type II diabetes. IsomAb is based in Nottingham’s BioCity and is led by CEO Jackie Turnbull; it was founded by Prof. David Bates and Prof. Steve Harper. The company employs six staff.
