Quill is a London-based cloud-based platform that connects freelance content creators with brands seeking written and visual content. The company was founded by Ed Bussey and says it uses technology to enable a global talent marketplace that can produce high-quality content at speed and scale for fast-growth ecommerce companies. Today Quill announced it has raised a total of £10 million in its latest investment from Smedvig Capital and Panoramic Growth Equity. The new funds will be used to further develop its freelance platform and to expand operations in the US and Europe. Previous investors named in the article include Dan'Hewitt (a VP at Walt Disney), Shakil Khan (former head of projects at Spotify), and Jonathan Pfitzner of Secret Escapes.
