Jupiter International manufactures photovoltaic (PV) solar cells and operates a facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The company currently has an 800 MW solar cell manufacturing capacity. It secured a ₹300 crore investment led by ValueQuest S.C.A.L.E. PE fund to expand cell capacity and begin module manufacturing. The financing will enable the setup of a 1.8 GW solar cell and a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility. Jupiter has also entered a joint venture with AmpIn Energy to develop integrated solar cell and module capacity of 1.2 GW each. Management says the funding will strengthen competencies to achieve revenue and profitability goals; Aum Capital advised on the transaction.
