KatKin
Floor 2, 4 Hardwick Street, London, United Kingdom
Overview
KatKin produces frozen, fresh, meat-based meals for cats, sold primarily via an online subscription model that tailors portions to each pet. Founded in 2020 by Ed Westcott and siblings Brett and Nikki O’Farrell, the company operates a vertically integrated supply chain with production sites in London and Suffolk and employs more than 150 people. Its menu includes SKUs such as Gobble, Splash, Oink and Quack, all designed to meet feline biological needs with real meat. KatKin has shipped over 100 million fresh meals to date and claims a 2% share of the UK cat food market. Recent distribution has expanded beyond e-commerce through a national retail partnership with pet superstore Jollyes. With a mission to “redefine cat nutrition and health,” the firm plans to add new product lines, deepen scientific research and extend its presence in specialist pet retailers. The latest financing will also fund entry into additional international markets and reinforce quality and safety standards across its operations.
