Keyto is a San Francisco-based health and wellness company leveraging the science behind the ketogenic diet. Its core product is a smart breath sensor that detects when the body is in ketosis, paired with iOS and Android apps that provide personalized food and lifestyle recommendations based on an individual’s physiology. The company says the sensor uses a proprietary gas nanosensor and has launched a presale campaign on Indiegogo. Keyto intends to use the funds from its seed round to expand research and development of the gas nanosensor and to scale manufacturing capabilities. The founding team includes metabolic and weight-loss experts Dr. Ethan Weiss, Dr. Ray Wu, Liane Nakamura and Gareth Everard. Keyto will begin shipping in early Q1 2019.
