Overview
KODA (Korea Digital Asset) is a joint venture formed by blockchain firm Hashed and KB Kookmin Bank that provides digital-asset custody services to institutional and enterprise customers. Leveraging institutional-grade security infrastructure and an audited internal-control framework, the company claims roughly 80 % share of South Korea’s digital-asset custody market. KODA prioritises asset safety and operational transparency, maintaining a 300 억 원 insurance policy that it plans to expand to a 500 억 원 limit. The firm is currently undergoing PwC’s “SOC 1 Type II” audit to align its controls with global standards. Fresh capital will fund cold-wallet infrastructure upgrades, strengthened security and compliance systems, and expanded onboarding capacity for large institutional clients. Meeting the 100 억 원 capital requirement also positions KODA to qualify as a licensed trust company, broadening its regulatory standing.
