Overview
Kognitiv Spark’s core product, RemoteSpark, is an augmented reality software package that enables real-time sharing of complex 3D data between desk-based experts and field-based workers. RemoteSpark pairs a desktop application with an AR-device app to livestream a worker’s point of view, share PDFs, 3D images and animations, allow bi-directional annotations, and support hands-free voice-controlled operation. The company highlights three advantages: real-time 3D dataset sharing, stable video in low-bandwidth environments, and defence-grade security. KS positions its technology to reduce expert travel, cutting time, cost, and greenhouse gas emissions associated with field installations and maintenance. Founded in 2016 and co-founded by Ryan Groom and Duncan McSporran, the company is led by an executive team with deep expertise in cybersecurity, oil & gas, industrial engineering, and aerospace & defence. In March 2022 it secured a £2.5m growth capital investment to fund expansion into new industries and geographies and to support ongoing product development.
