Lagrange Labs

Overview

Lagrange Labs is the creator and distributor of a Zero‑Knowledge Coprocessing protocol that enables verifiable computations at big‑data scale across multiple blockchains. Its core product is a decentralized off‑chain network of specialized nodes (ZK coprocessors) that execute intensive computations and generate ZK proofs which are submitted on‑chain for verification. The architecture is hyper‑parallel and horizontally scalable, allowing computation to be divided into many small tasks and executed in parallel; its proprietary Reckle Trees research enables updating previously computed proofs without full recomputation. Recent milestones include partnerships with EigenLayer, Base, Frax Finance, Mantle Network, Omni Network and AltLayer, the launch of the Euclid testnet, and being one of the first AVSs on EigenLayer Mainnet. Lagrange reported over $4 billion restaked in the first two weeks on EigenLayer and an additional $2.5 billion in restaking commitments from liquid restaking protocols. The company says its technology aims to unlock use cases requiring large dataset computations—such as on‑chain liquidity and pricing calculations or running AI/ML models—while preserving security via restaking integrations. With new capital, Lagrange plans to accelerate research and development, refine its ZK Coprocessing platform, and expand integrations across the blockchain ecosystem. Lagrange Labs develops a proprietary zero-knowledge (ZK) proof system focused on solving cross-chain interoperability rather than blockchain scalability. Its technology enables blockchains to interact without intermediaries, allowing dApps to validate real-time and historical states across Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. The startup targets DeFi use cases such as cross-chain asset states for yield aggregators, multi-chain credit scoring, and multi-chain DEX pricing, and is also prioritizing decentralized identity, general verifiable computation, GameFi, and cross-chain governance. Lagrange has been actively hiring Ph.D. researchers in applied cryptography to accelerate research and development. Charalampos (Babis) Papamanthou, Co-Director of the Applied Cryptography Lab at Yale, joined as Chief Scientist to support verifiable and privacy-preserving computation research. The company plans to use its latest funding to accelerate development of its ZK-proof systems and expand its research team.
