Laundrygo operates an on-demand mobile app that enables customers to schedule pickup and delivery of laundry and dry cleaning within 24 hours and also runs laundromats and smart factories to handle washing and drying. The company offers three primary businesses: consumer pickup/delivery (Laundrygo), B2B laundry for hotels (Laundrygo Business) and laundromats (Laundry24), plus an alterations service (LaundryX). Laundrygo has built an AI-powered laundry screening system that automatically sorts items and performs all cleaning in-house using its smart factory, and it says it uses an environmentally friendly detergent. The startup has grown rapidly: it reported 4.4 billion won (~$3.3M) in sales in October, said sales are more than 20x versus a year earlier, has more than 130,000 registered users and employs over 500 people, and has tripled annual sales since 2021. Laundrygo has pursued acquisitions (including U.S.-based A+ Machinery) to enter the smart factory business and says it will continue acquiring businesses that create synergies. The company plans to invest in its smart factory technology and expand the laundromat business, with intentions to open a Laundry24 in New York as early as next year and to consider expansion into Japan.
