LAXEY
Strandvegur 104, Vestmannaeyjar, 900, Iceland
Overview
Laxey operates a land-based Atlantic salmon farming business centered in Vestmannaeyjar and is executing a six-phase development plan to reach roughly 35,000 tonnes of annual production when fully built out. The company brought a post-smolt facility into operation in May 2026 and expects Grow-Out Section II to receive its first smolt in the autumn, while Grow-Out Section III and Smoltstasjon II are planned next. The initial smolt station will produce five million smolt per year with design capacity to expand to 15 million smolt annually. Laxey carried out its first slaughter in November 2025, producing ~5 kg fish 23 months after receipt of first roe, and has maintained weekly slaughters with strong biological performance and a high share of superior-quality fish. The company expects to harvest about 4,000 tonnes of Atlantic salmon in 2026 and derives revenue potential from both salmon production and the sale of post-smolt. Since founding, Laxey has raised roughly €200 million in equity to date, most recently adding €47 million in the oversubscribed round.
