The company raised $300,000 through a revenue loan to support expansion. That loan type is repaid as a percentage of monthly revenue, typically between 2% and 10%. Founder Lachlan McKnight said he chose the revenue loan based on his experience as a lawyer and investment banker. He explained they avoided banks because lenders seek tangible assets and startups often have only IP and a team. McKnight added they pursued the loan to avoid month-long investor negotiations over valuation and because the business was generating enough cash for the structure to work.
