Overview
Lendingkart operates a digital non-banking financial company (NBFC) platform focused on extending working-capital and short-term business loans to SMEs across India, with typical ticket sizes of Rs 5–6 lakh. The company says it has disbursed more than Rs 18,700 crore to over 300,000 businesses to date, underscoring its scale in the underserved SME credit market. For FY24, Lendingkart reported revenue of Rs 1,090 crore, a 36% year-on-year increase, while net profit slipped 5.9% to Rs 175 crore. In March 2025, Temasek-owned Fullerton Financial acquired a 56% majority stake, positioning the firm for further expansion. The newly announced capital will fund growth initiatives across Lendingkart and its wholly owned subsidiary, Lendingkart Finance, as well as general corporate purposes. Post-transaction, Fullerton Financial’s ownership will rise to 58.35%, with earlier backers such as Bertelsmann Nederland, Mayfield India, and Saama Capital retaining significant minority stakes. Prior to the latest round, Lendingkart had raised Rs 1,050 crore (about $126 million) in equity funding from many of the same investors.
