Overview
LetinAR develops PinTILT optical modules—compact lenses that steer light precisely into the eye—to make AI-enabled smart glasses thinner, brighter, and more power-efficient than many existing approaches. The company argues its design balances the efficiency of mirror-based systems with the thinness of waveguide approaches to reduce weight and battery drain. Founded in 2016 by Jaehyeok Kim and Jeonghun Ha and backed by LG Electronics, LetinAR’s modules are already shipping to customers including NTT QONOQ Devices, Dynabook, and Aegis Rider. Aegis Rider integrates LetinAR’s module into an AR motorcycle helmet aiming for EU and Swiss markets. LetinAR is in R&D talks with larger tech firms but declined to name them. The company is scaling production ahead of a planned 2027 IPO and used its recent funding to support that scale-up.
