Libattion
Sägereistrasse 24, Glattbrugg, Zurich, 8152, Switzerland
Overview
Libattion produces stationary energy storage systems called "e-Racks" using upcycled electric vehicle batteries. The e-Racks cover capacities from 97 kWh to 60 MWh and are designed to provide services such as frequency control, peak demand reduction, and fast EV charging. The systems can support critical infrastructure and hybridise renewable assets by storing surplus energy. Libattion also offers algorithms and power control systems that extend the service life of upcycled batteries to achieve technical performance equal to new batteries. The company aims to reduce imports of critical resources and contribute to the decarbonisation of industries through a more sustainable, cost-effective battery technology. Libattion has secured €14 million in funding to help achieve its next milestones and scale its solutions.
