Overview

Life Biosciences focuses on reversing and preventing age-related diseases by targeting underlying biological drivers of aging with its Partial Epigenetic Reprogramming platform. The platform seeks to restore aged and damaged cells toward a more youthful state via expression of three transcription factors: OCT4, SOX2, and KLF4. Its lead program, ER-100, is in a Phase 1 clinical trial for optic neuropathies, including open-angle glaucoma and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, with the study assessing safety, tolerability, and early signals of efficacy such as improvements in visual function. The company says current treatments do not address underlying neuronal degeneration and positions ER-100 to address that unmet need. Life Biosciences is expanding its pipeline to explore additional indications across multiple diseases of aging. The recent financing is intended to fund operations into the second half of 2027 and advance ER-100 through key clinical milestones while supporting broader platform development.
