Lifen
43-45 Rue de Saint-Pétersbourg, Paris, Île-de-France, 75008, France
Overview
Lifen provides a document platform that works with electronic medical messaging protocols to send and receive medical reports and make hospitals more paperless. About 600 healthcare facilities use Lifen, which processes 2 million medical documents sent to 240,000 doctors each month; patients can also retrieve documents directly. The company layers machine learning on top of its document product to detect key information and convert documents into structured data, such as patient names and sender details. Lifen is expanding beyond messaging to become a full digital platform for healthcare and maintains an app store that lists e-health apps that integrate with its user management and connectivity. With the new funding, Lifen plans to hire more than 200 employees over the next 18 months. By 2025 the company aims to work with 1,500 hospitals and 200 e-health solutions. Lifen provides a secure messaging and document-delivery platform that lets healthcare professionals send and receive medical letters, reports and documents via multiple electronic health messaging protocols. The service interfaces with MS Santé, Apicrypt, Zepra and Medimail, offers a unified inbox with read receipts, and can export documents into patient folders. Lifen also integrates with the French postal service to handle paper workflows and can be used as a virtual printer from any app. The company emphasizes confidentiality and compliance, encrypting data in transit and at rest and maintaining zero-access to customer data. Lifen automates recipient detection by scanning documents for names and addresses and matching them to its directory of healthcare professionals. Individual healthcare professionals can access the service for €25 per month.
