Overview
Lodgify offers a Software-as-a-Service platform that includes a website builder enabling vacation rental hosts to accept direct bookings and payments without technical skills, plus API integrations with major channels like Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com. Owners can manage all reservations from one place and synchronize property data across booking channels. Led by CEO Dennis Klett, the company has expanded its R&D team to over 70 employees and grown the whole company to almost 200 people representing 43 nationalities. Lodgify plans to use recent funding to accelerate global expansion, boost product growth and expand customer support. The company raised $30M in a Series B round to support these initiatives. Lodgify’s core product is a SaaS platform that lets vacation rental owners build mobile-friendly websites for each property, accept online bookings and process payments. The software automates the booking workflow, including booking management, guest communication, payment scheduling and refundable cancellations. It also supports advanced API integrations with platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com so hosts can manage direct and indirect channels. The company is watching developments in cryptocurrencies and smart contracts as potential future features for self-executing bookings. Lodgify plans to scale its team, accelerate product development and increase global marketing efforts. The company recently hired Alex Vuilleumier as COO and currently has a team of 50 people. Financially, Lodgify has raised a total of $7.3 million to date. Lodgify offers a Software-as-a-Service that lets vacation rental owners create mobile-friendly, bookable websites that accept online payments. The product is designed to help owners and property managers generate more direct bookings and reduce dependence on online travel agencies like Airbnb and Booking.com. The company cites that 92 percent of travellers prefer to book a vacation rental online and says many owners lack bookable websites, resulting in an average of 9–10 days of email exchanges before a booking is completed. With the new investment Lodgify plans to expand product development — including a foray into chatbots and messenger-supported booking functionality — and increase sales and marketing. The funding round raised €1.4M and brings the company’s total funding to €2M. Lodgify is based in Barcelona. Lodgify offers a browser-based service that enables vacation rental owners and managers to create mobile-friendly websites and manage reservations in real time without paying commission. The product suite includes website templates, an online booking engine, a reservation system and a channel manager. It provides monthly subscription plans for single owners up to managers with 1 to 500+ properties. The company recently closed a seed round and intends to use the funds to enhance its website-building software, expand the product team, and launch additional features. Lodgify is a Seedcamp alumnus.
