LoveYourLarder is an online marketplace that connects consumers with independent UK food producers, positioning itself as the UK's "Etsy for foodies". Soft-launched in late 2010, the site has grown from 70 to over 150 producers and from 500 to over 1,500 listed products. In January the company launched a subscription service, LarderBox, and has sold over 1,000 boxes. It operates a marketplace model enabling direct purchases and has introduced a publisher-facing revenue-share affiliate scheme that pays producers a 5% commission on referrals (roughly £1.25 on an average £25 order). Founder Tristan Watson says the affiliate program targets food bloggers and recipe sites as an alternative to advertising. Financially, LoveYourLarder is a Difference Engine accelerator graduate, received a £150,000 investment from Northstar Ventures and says it is in the process of raising its next funding round.
