Lucid is a mindfulness and mental-training app designed specifically for athletes, offering daily guided meditations and exercises focused on confidence, presence, visualization and sport-specific behaviors. The app pairs users with expert sports coaches — including personalities like Aaron Gordon — who have trained stars such as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Sessions are short (about five minutes a day) and designed to translate visualization and mindfulness into improved athletic performance. Lucid launched on the App Store and competes with general meditation and brain-training apps like Headspace, Lumosity and Omvana by targeting athletes at all levels. The company offers a five-day free trial and a subscription priced at $100 per year or $10 per month. Founders plan to target roughly 500,000 college athletes and about 35 million youth sports players in the U.S.
