Lumos

2632 Laguna Street, San Francisco, CA, 94123, United States

Overview

Lumos provides a platform (accessible via command line or web) to manage app access permissions across on-premises and cloud environments. The product automates audits of who has access to which apps and systems and tracks software usage to recommend license-spend reductions. Lumos leverages AI to convert support tickets into workflows and to analyze employee data for suggested access modifications. Its customer roster includes Roku, MongoDB and Chegg, and the company reports 9x revenue growth since May 2022. Lumos says it has more than $65 million in the bank and plans to expand headcount from 95 to roughly 150 by year-end. The company emphasizes a generalizable core infrastructure to accelerate product maturation and serve multiple customer pain points. Lumos provides an end-to-end platform for enterprises to manage all of the SaaS apps their employees use. Its product replaces IT tickets with a self-service portal while offering role-based access control, spending reports, and automated de-provisioning of unused accounts. The service integrates with identity and access management tools such as Okta, OneLogin, Google and Azure AD and provisions accounts on apps like Zoom, Salesforce, AWS and Datadog; it also integrates with Slack and plans Teams support. The company’s long-term goal is to build an "App Store" for the web that delivers an integrated platform for app management and privacy controls. Lumos positions itself against incumbents such as Torii, BetterCloud and Intello, arguing those tools are not fully end-to-end. The company has more than 30 employees and customers including BuzzFeed, Dialpad, Mixpanel, Skydio and Vox Media, and has raised over $30 million in funding.
