Luniwave develops an in-room technology suite—smart sensors combined with a gamification platform called GreenMiles—that measures guest behaviors (shorter showers, reduced heating, declined daily housekeeping) and rewards eco-responsible actions. The company has been deployed in about a hundred hotels, including major groups such as Accor, B&B Hotels, Marriott and Best Western, and reports measurable reductions in water, energy and service consumption. Luniwave aims to scale to 800 hotels and attract 15 million users annually by 2027, and to save over one billion liters of water within that timeframe. Financially, it raised €3.6 million in the latest round which mixed institutional, impact and citizen capital, while some early seed investors (Campus Fund and Insavalor) exited and historic partners reinvested. Recent impact metrics for 2025 include saving more than 20 million liters of water, avoiding over 100 tonnes of CO₂ and enabling access to potable water for more than 2,000 people via its partnership with Made Blue Foundation.
