Lutra AI creates AI workflows from natural language so non-developers can automate tasks by connecting existing apps such as Google Workspace and Slack. The product enables automations for email management, internet research and Slack customer interactions. The team takes a code-first approach to execution to improve security and reliability, and concentrates LLMs on specific tasks rather than using them for everything. Founded by ex-Google and Coursera employees including Jiquan Ngiam and Vijay Vasudevan, the company launched in April and recently came out of stealth. Lutra is currently in private beta with a small number of customers and is too early to share traction. With new funding the team plans to expand access to more customers and focus on product development and product-market fit.
