Makelog provides a release communications platform — a filtered log that lets engineering, product and business teams see what shipped and route updates to the right audiences. The product integrates with source tools like GitHub and Jira to capture context and speed distribution of updates. Makelog aims to replace traditional changelogs by encouraging communication at the minimum marketable unit level and enabling a continuous communication workflow. Founder and CEO JJ Nguyen started the company at the end of 2020 and currently runs a six-person team (her plus five engineers). Early customers include Monte Carlo, Armory and PopSQL. The product was introduced publicly for the first time alongside the fundraise. The company announced a $3 million seed investment that closed at the end of last year.
