Overview

Masterplan provides a Learning Engagement Platform — a SaaS solution combining motivational software with high-quality, ready-to-use lessons and support for customers to upload their own content. The platform is internationally oriented and available in multiple languages. Masterplan serves more than 300 clients, including Volkswagen, Domino's, Beiersdorf, DZ Bank, Otto Group and E.ON. The company employs over 100 people and has offices in Berlin and Düsseldorf. Recent initiatives include a collaboration with Oliver Kahn on an online management course. Masterplan plans to expand competency-based learning and AI-powered knowledge transfer as part of its product roadmap. Founded in 2017, Masterplan.com provides a workplace learning platform that enables companies to digitize sales, product, leadership, soft skills, onboarding and mandatory trainings. The company started as a video-first service and has expanded into an all‑round learning software, most recently launching a no‑code course builder (Masterplan Creator) and native Android and iOS apps. Masterplan reports strong commercial traction: it tripled revenue in 2020 and, three years after launch, serves more than 250 companies including Otto Group, VW and EON. The business has grown its sales organisation to more than 30 employees and is strengthening management with new hires in finance and HR. With the new funding, Masterplan plans to expand development and distribution of its proprietary software and broaden its target market to small and medium‑sized companies. Co‑founder Dr. Daniel Schütt moves to an advisory role and will remain an advisor and shareholder. Masterplan.com is a German-founded e-learning platform that hosts 126 video courses aimed at helping larger organisations undergo digital transformation. The platform’s lessons cover core competencies such as digital marketing, IT security, and legal practices. Masterplan positions its content to inspire and empower employees to contribute ideas and innovate rather than relying solely on external expertise. The service sold about 2,000 licenses prior to its official launch and counts Otto Group and Siemens among its first customers. The product is officially launching in German and the company plans to expand to English-speaking markets in 2019. The company emphasizes enabling employees to secure a leading role for their companies in the digital environment.
