Mautic is an open source marketing automation platform that enables modern marketers to put tailored content in front of the right audience across every stage of the lifecycle. The company integrates with systems across the customer ecosystem to deliver personalized marketing automation and deep customer intelligence for enterprises and agencies. Mautic launched Mautic Cloud 2.0 earlier this summer, a major product release that extends the Cloud beyond basic marketing automation to help companies market faster, smarter, and for less. The two-year-old open source project reports more than 50,000 downloads, over 20,000 additional companies using the free hosted version, thousands of contributing developers, translations into 24 languages, and dozens of new features added in 2016. The company says it will use the new funding to build out its engineering team, grow its product suite, and broaden support for its growing customer base and the Mautic open source community. Matt Johnston joined the founding team, joined the board in early July, and will become CEO at the end of 2016.
