Maxem
Kabelweg 57, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, 1014 BA, The Netherlands
Overview
Founded in 2014 and led by CEO Peter Boon, Maxem provides a B2B charging and energy management software platform (white-label) that enables companies to optimise and manage charging stations, batteries, on-site solar and grid interactions. The platform reduces the need for extensive grid connections and helps customers electrify fleets by regulating energy flows and charging capacity based on occupancy, priority, pricing and renewable availability. Maxem’s system is aimed at fleets with many charging outlets and constrained grid connections and is used by clients including ANWB, Unica, Stedin, Spie, Rijkswaterstaat, CBR, SVB and Schiphol. The company cites examples such as supporting a courier client’s out-of-town distribution centre to run more independently from the grid and enable emission-free inner-city operations. Maxem will use the newly raised capital to further develop its technology platform, expand its team and increase market share, and expects significant growth of its Amsterdam headquarters team. The product also targets large infrastructure settings such as airports, where Maxem enables smart control of charging capacity alongside onsite renewable generation.
