  • HR Energy

    Led · Equity · May 2026

Founded in 2021, HR Energy produces PVT heat-pump systems that are mounted behind existing or new solar panels and installed in buildings. Its system replaces a conventional outdoor heat-pump unit and is promoted as silent, maintenance-free, and visually unobtrusive, making it usable in densely built areas. The company claims that its solution typically does not require a heavier electrical connection. HR Energy is scaling production and expanding organizational capacity and installer support following the recent financing. The articles do not provide revenue, user, or other financial metrics.

  • Foodforecast

    Led · Series A · Feb 2026

Founded in 2018, Cologne-based Foodforecast has built software that uses artificial-intelligence models to predict demand for ultra-fresh foods with very short shelf lives. The platform integrates directly into customers’ ordering, production, and replenishment workflows, updating forecasts multiple times per day and automating more than 90 % of previously manual planning. Deployed in several thousand European stores since its 2022 commercial launch, the solution has helped prevent over 8,800 tons of food waste while increasing sales by up to 11 % and reducing waste by up to 30 %. These measurable results illustrate both economic and environmental benefits, aligning the company with EU sustainability goals. With new capital in hand, Foodforecast plans to accelerate international expansion, enhance its AI capabilities, and broaden enterprise adoption across retail, food-service, and bakery segments. The company positions itself as a scalable, easy-to-implement tool for tackling structural inefficiencies in ultra-fresh food supply chains.

  • Astrape Networks

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2025

Astrape Networks is a Dutch deep‑tech company developing photonic network switches (the EFFINITI line) that minimise electrical‑to‑optical conversions by converting data to optical signals at the network edge. Its technology uses Photonic Integrated Circuits, multi‑wavelength channels and rapid circuit switching to reduce latency, eliminate congestion and improve GPU/xPU utilisation. Astrape says EFFINITI can deliver up to 20% energy savings today and potentially 60% as network speeds increase, handle ~50% more traffic, double utilisation rates, expand hop capacity and scale to support over 16 million GPUs/xPUs. The company was spun out of Eindhoven University of Technology in 2022, incubated by HighTechXL and is based at the Brainport Eindhoven High Tech Campus in the Netherlands. Astrape targets multi‑tenant data centres and hyperscalers and positions itself as a networking competitor to incumbents like Cisco and Arista. The business intends to complete product development and validation, run early pilot deployments with lead customers, and prepare for scaled manufacturing and broader market readiness by the end of 2027.

  • Roboat

    Led · Equity · Jul 2024

Roboat is an Amsterdam-based company spun out of MIT and the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS) that develops autonomous boating technology. Its AI software provides situational awareness, decision support, obstacle identification and avoidance, autonomous sailing, and automated docking and mooring. The system can be integrated into new vessels or retrofitted into commercial ships used for passenger transport, goods delivery, and waste collection. Roboat is collaborating with multiple clients across the Netherlands and Europe and adapts deployments to local regulations, either supporting skippers or taking full control of navigation. Amsterdam’s public transport company GVB uses Roboat for situational awareness on the GVB IJveer. The company recently raised €550,000 from LUMO Labs and SHIFT Invest.

  • Time-Travelling Milkman

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2024

Time Travelling Milkman focuses on extracting and commercialising functional ingredients from sunflower seeds, most notably OleoCream, a plant-based fat-globule emulsion that provides a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The company has also created OleoPowder and SunPulp, valorising the remaining seed fractions to maximise circularity. Its newly announced project targets scaling OleoCream production to 10,000 tonnes per year while utilising all side streams. A consortium with co-product specialist Duynie and process-optimisation expert NIZO Food Research will help develop clean-label, climate-friendly applications and fine-tune manufacturing processes. The initiative is additionally supported by EFRO Oost, an EU-co-funded subsidy programme. An undisclosed investment has been secured to finance these scale-up efforts, but no revenue or user figures have been revealed. The company’s strategy centres on delivering sustainable, dairy-like functionality for the growing plant-based foods market.
