  • NOWOS

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2025

NOWOS operates repair and maintenance hubs for lithium-ion batteries, initially focusing on micro-mobility customers and fleet operators across Europe. The company repairs batteries for e-bikes, e-mopeds and kick-scooters and works with customers such as Swapfiets, Dott, Felyx, Qwic, Voi, Dance and Fifteen, as well as manufacturers NIU, Phylion, TWS and Segway-Ninebot. In 2024 it repaired 310,000 kilograms across 98 battery models — the equivalent of 90,000 batteries — and reports that more than 80% of received batteries can be repaired. NOWOS says repair is on average 55% cheaper than replacement and operates hubs in the Netherlands and France with a partner in the UK. With new funding it plans to open repair hubs in Poland in 2025 and Germany in 2026, develop a Battery Passport system, and scale repair protocols to cover more battery types. The company also intends to expand into additional sectors including material handling (forklifts, AGVs), energy storage systems, power tools and garden electronics, automated drones, robotics and medical devices.

  • Aurea Imaging

    Participated · Series A · Jul 2024

Aurea develops TreeScout, a tractor-mounted sensor system that scores individual trees for parameters such as blossom density and vigor and generates digital prescription maps for machinery. The TreeScout enables tree-level execution of farm applications throughout the season, allowing custom treatments to replace conventional full-field applications. The company reports yield increases of up to EUR 3,500 per hectare and labor and agrochemical savings of up to 90%. Aurea closed a EUR 2.8 million Series A to scale deployments of TreeScout and to fund continued development of new applications. To align with this focus, founder Bert Rijk will become Chief Product Officer and co-founder Joost Hazelhoff will take on the role of CEO. Aurea was founded in 2016 and is based in Utrecht, Netherlands.

  • 30MHz

    Participated · Equity · Nov 2021

30MHz builds a plug-and-play hardware and software data platform for the agricultural sector that analyses in-field monitoring devices, climate computers, sensors and manual input to give growers actionable insights. The platform visualizes data and connects farmers, growers, advisers, distributors and researchers to enable remote monitoring and management of crops. It is designed to be simple, highly-customisable and independent of growers' existing systems, aiming to democratise agronomic data. The company says customers use the data to increase yield, reduce losses, optimise irrigation, improve storage, prevent disease risk and reduce energy consumption. 30MHz will use the €6.5M raised in its second funding round to accelerate technological developments and further expand its role as a connector to support global climate and sustainability goals. Founded in 2014 and based in Amsterdam, the scale-up employs 35 people and serves more than 330 customers in 30 countries; it previously raised €3.5M in a Series A in early 2019 to focus on scale.

  • NutriLeads

    Participated · Series B · Sep 2020

NutriLeads develops and supplies plant‑based precision prebiotic fibers, principally BeniCaros, aimed at improving immune and gut health. BeniCaros is produced from upcycled carrot pomace and is clinically proven to train faster, smarter and stronger innate immune responses and consistently modulate the gut microbiome. The ingredient features a low daily serving size (as low as 300 mg) and an attractive formulation profile for foods, beverages and dietary supplements. NutriLeads plans to expand into new consumer markets and geographies, pursue additional health applications and seek development partnerships in pet and animal nutrition. The company says recent funding will accelerate commercialization and support creation of a global precision prebiotic brand. NutriLeads is based in Wageningen, The Netherlands. NutriLeads develops natural food ingredients with clinically proven health benefits for application in dietary supplements and functional foods. Its proprietary lead ingredient, Xtramune, is a carrot-derived fibre intended to support immune function and resistance to respiratory infections. The company plans to launch Xtramune and drive it toward commercialization in 2021 with global partners in the food and supplement industry. Two other ingredients in its portfolio, targeting gut health and metabolic health, will be progressed to proof of concept in humans. NutriLeads closed a €6.5M Series B financing to fund these activities. The company was established in 2012 and is based in Wageningen.
