Maxi Mobility is the holding company for Cabify and Easy, operating Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platforms for business and private users across more than 130 cities in 14 countries in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. Its platforms connect users with multiple forms of transportation and aim to reduce private‑car use and street congestion. The company said the new funds will be used to accelerate growth in current markets, consolidate its leadership in Latin America and Iberia, and expand technological development as well as customer and driver service. Operational metrics reported in the article include Cabify closing 2017 with global growth in excess of 500% in gross revenues and travel requests, tripling its installed base and growing trips six‑fold; the group employs around 2,000 people. Easy, which joined the Maxi Mobility group in April 2017, has seen a 60% growth in demand since joining and operates across nine countries and over 120 cities. After the financing, Maxi Mobility’s valuation grew to $1.4 billion.
