Medipixel develops AI-based medical software for cardiovascular imaging, including MPXA, which automatically detects and quantifies stenosis on coronary angiography. MPXA is fully automated and completes analyses in 1–2 seconds to support real-time use in the cath lab. The company received Korean regulatory approval in 2021 and obtained FDA clearance in March of this year. Medipixel has completed development of an upgraded analyzer that handles a wider range of vessel angles and of a next-generation product, MPFFR, for functional cardiovascular diagnosis, which it plans to release soon. The company holds six U.S. patents and about 30 domestic patents in cardiovascular diagnosis and analysis, and recently won first place among 351 teams in the MICCAI AI algorithm challenge.
