Metahood launched into open beta with a platform designed to make buying, selling and trading digital land easier by showing the location and context of virtual parcels. The product displays a virtual map of land plots across supported metaverses so users can see surroundings, landmarks and neighborhoods before transacting. It aggregates listings from marketplaces such as OpenSea, LooksRare and OpenSwap and also supports individual user listings. The platform currently supports NFT land in The Sandbox, Decentraland and Otherside and the company says it is working to bring additional metaverses onto the marketplace. Metahood’s stated vision is to make the open metaverse more accessible, interoperable and easy to navigate. The company announced $3 million in seed funding to help build and expand the platform.
